what’s working with me like?
considering me as your therapist? here are some things you can count on:
connection and education
THE RELATIONSHIP/CONNECTION BETWEEN CLIENT AND THERAPIST IS THE #1 INDICATOR OF THE THERAPEUTIC OUTCOME
I will literally try to share all and any relevant education and resources I have pertaining to the issues you come to me for, no gatekeeping here
balance of relational and challanege
keeping up that professional mask is more work, and honestly this work is real and hard enough (I love it though). When we work together, I show up as myselfI am myself, personhood and all. Lucky for you (my clients) I naturally value honesty, alignment, and accountability, so the clinical heat thats needed for change and results will still be there! Paired with celebrations, connection, and whatever your nervous system needs that day.
accountability, accountability, accountability. accountability is a life line to your soul. I use the term “compassionate confrontation” with you to describe that we will confront that barriers, excuses, xyz while establishing and nurturing the compassionate and nurturing voice that has to be paired with.
somatic work and nervous system healing
a FOUNDATION to my practice. if there’s anything I could gift clients who enter my therapy room, it’d be a deeper connection and knowing to yourself and your feelings and responses.
I work to teach you how to tune in, listen, trust, and act what your nervous system and body is telling you.
the real alchemy is when you know how to listen to your system, no one can truly manipulate you when you and your internal compass are in lock-step.
flexibility
while I do hold my policies strong and require weekly/biweekly sessions, I will do my absolute best and a bit more to make the session times and fees work. If you’re committed, im here with you start to finish.
media references and memes
im not a homework therapist. If you know it works for me, great verbalize it and we will integrate it. But I hold clients to their own system and seeing how they integrate our hour together with the rest of their life. If anything I will ask you to watch a show or movie that gives a healthy example of communication or showing what the work and experiences within therapy is like. sometimes you need to see it happen with someone else to lean into the process, and thats okay!
While I can’t and won’t share details of current or past clients, I can tell you that working with me is a transformative experience wrapped into a familiar feeling. We learn, listen, grieve, change, alchemize, and quite actually create a path you WANT to walk and exist on. It’s not easy work, and that makes it that much more rewarding.
